A barista's life unravels when she discovers her bloodline holds the power to preserve the Earth, and she must choose between her simple existence and the destiny she never asked for.
 

The year is 2248, and Earth is on the brink of climate catastrophe. Wildly fluctuating temperatures, frequent earthquakes, and natural disasters have become business as usual for Dawn Farringdon, a barista who’d like nothing more than to serve up a delicious cup of coffee, catch the attention of her hot colleague Logan, and figure out her next steps in life. 

 

But her climatologist dad has different plans for her. He disappears off the grid, but not before sending her on a globe-trotting, cryptic mission with the so-called Lumen—people with superhuman abilities who inhabit the realms of the sky and sea.

 

It turns out, it’s the end of days, and it’s up to Dawn to help save Earth from disaster. Hoping to reunite with her dad and resume her regular life, Dawn must trust her newfound friends, master her own awakening powers, and hide from two Lumen assassins in order to complete her mission to find a rare ingredient for a renewable power source and avoid Earth’s untimely demise.​
